Child Passenger Safety Technician Training Course:
In this course you will learn about the mechanics of a collision, the legislation governing child restraints and the different stages of child restraint systems and how they work. The course will include hands-on practice so that you will feel comfortable with different methods of installation and guidance on how to help parents and caregivers select and use car seats and booster seats correctly.
Certification requires participation in both full classroom days, passing a written exam, and a hands-on practical exam to take place at a seat check clinic on the third day. In order to complete the course, all participants must satisfy both the classroom requirements, including a written exam, and the clinic's practical requirements involving interactions with parents and other technicians on Day 3.
